Plot Summary:Episode 13: \"The Spy and the Submarine\" By appealing to the vanity of Howard Smithson, who is the inventor of a remarkable air-lock for submarine use. Ali Singh, in the garb of a citizen of Europe, laying aside for the time being his Oriental make-up, succeeds in boarding the submarine, accompanied by two of his associates. Together they overpower Smithson and leave him for dead, intending to learn the secret of the air-lock invention. Smithson, however, is not killed, but revives, smashes the air-lock, escaping himself while the submarine sinks. Ali Singh, however, is saved through the devotion of his men, who shoot him through a torpedo tube.
