Ari, a Greek, a locked up son, a homosexual, he lives in Melbourne, and also anger, fear, self-doubt, and misery. He talks about freedom he is desperate for, but only Toula has the courage to live it while he can only stand there watching and regretting and doing nothing. He blames his father, his friend, and the society, while he doesn't have the balls to stand out and make a difference. To be oneself with free will is something people have been fighting for for centuries and centuries and people are still aiming for it, but how many of us are like Toula! Do whatever we want to do to be whoever we truly are! Ari chickens out, in the end and ruins the opportunity to be with some one he likes and who loves back. He is high, still on drugs, but that is not what makes him a prick. He has lived in a world without love for too long, and when he finally meets it, he panics, and he doesn't know how to respond to it with love. That is nothing but pathetic!
