故事发生在我国台湾。性格开朗的梁景皓（潘玮珀 饰）是体育系学生，俊朗的外表吸引不少女生注意，可家境的困窘让他无暇顾及谈恋爱，光为父亲（梁福城 饰）筹措医疗费已经让他焦头烂额。一天，在闹市摆地摊的景皓为躲避清场的警察，逃跑中勾坏了富家女宋瑞恩（张榕容 饰）的裙子，为赔偿衣裙他搭上了近来所挣费用。作事另类的瑞恩没有想到，就在她与景皓为裙子纠缠之时，一个人待在家的景皓父亲酿成了火灾。知道真相后瑞恩非常自责，她努力想接近景皓以弥补自己的过失，但都以徒劳告终。后来，因为一根意外的“红线”拉近了俩人距离，但彼此的内心仿佛还阻挡着什么。不久后，就在二人准备踏上红毯时，景皓发现了惊天的秘密......Liang Jing Hao and Song Rui En fell in love despite their social difference.
